Frances is the Executive Director of the Uganda Community Based Association for Women and Children’s Welfare (UCOBAC), an organization that champions the rights and welfare of women and children in Uganda through inclusive, community-based initiatives. She is also the Chairperson of the National Land Coalition and serves as the National Coordinator of the Stand for Her Land Campaign in Uganda.
A dedicated feminist, Frances is a passionate gender, human rights, and development specialist with over 19 years of professional experience. Her work focuses on advancing gender justice by promoting women’s land rights, sexual and reproductive health rights, ending gender-based violence, and supporting women’s self-efficacy, agency, leadership, and gender-responsive climate action.
Frances collaborates with grassroots communities to foster collective planning, mobilize resources, implement community-driven development initiatives, and advocate for transformative public policies at the local, national, regional, and global levels.
