Jennifer Aya

Jennifer Ayaa is an accomplished Social Worker and Public Health professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and development program implementation and management. Her expertise spans Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), HIV/AIDS, trauma healing, women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and project planning.

With over seven years of hands-on experience, Jennifer has worked closely with rural communities and district-level authorities, supporting marginalized women, youth, and children through transformative programming.

She currently serves as the Project Officer for SRHR and GBV at the Uganda Community Based Association for Women and Children’s Welfare (UCOBAC), under the project “Improving food and income security, climate resilience, and women empowerment for refugees and host communities in Palabek Settlement.”

Jennifer is a natural team builder and effective leader, known for her strong communication skills, passion for serving vulnerable communities, and advocacy for the voiceless. She enjoys networking, conducting trainings, and leading presentations that foster empowerment and learning.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Cavendish University, and a Diploma in Social Work from Nsamizi Training Institute for Social Development.
