Susan Gamwino

Susan Gamwino is a social researcher with over 20 years of experience in developing research tools, designing research methodologies, and analyzing data. She currently serves as a Senior Program Officer at the Uganda Community Based Association for Women and Children’s Welfare (UCOBAC) in Bugiri District.

In her role as the focal point for the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Program Department, Susan works closely with children and women to promote meaningful participation in development. Her advocacy focuses on child rights and protection, child welfare policies, and the promotion of socio-economic security.

She is also a passionate advocate for gender justice, championing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, the fight against Gender-Based Violence, and the advancement of gender-just trade policies.

Susan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Sociology.
